Casoli gained fame in the 1950s thanks to the painter and sculptor Rosario Murabito, who moved here and left his mark with a striking graffiti piece in the main square. Today, his former home can be visited as a museum.

Since then, it has become a tradition for visiting artists to leave a piece of graffiti behind.
